If you're here to read something from Nadiyar, I'm sorry to say this disappoints you.
Honestly I wrote a few paragraphs, trying to give a description of happiness, and make myself feeling better by pretending I know what I'm talking about.
But I don't.
What is happiness? Have no clue.
To not to send you empty handed though, these are some definitions:

Merriam Webster:

a state of well-being and contentment.
pleasurable or satisfying experience.

Cambridge Dictionary:

feeling, showing, or causing pleasure or satisfaction.

Britannica:

a state of emotional well-being.
more broadly, as a positive evaluation of one’s life and accomplishments.

verywellmind:

life satisfaction

Seneca:

True happiness is… to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future.

Charles Bukowski:

That's the problem with drinking, I thought, as I poured myself a drink. If something bad happens, you drink in an attempt to forget; if something good happens, you drink in order to celebrate; and if nothing happens, you drink to make something happen.

Friedrich Nietzsche:

Happiness is the feeling that power increases—that a resistance is overcome.

Betterhelp.com:

When you feel happy, life might seem carefree or straightforward.

Zhihu.com:

我认为幸福可以被定义为你可以做你喜欢做的事情,没有任何约束

Mary Stuart:

To be kind to all, to like many and love a few, to be needed and wanted by those we love, is certainly the nearest we can come to happiness.

Franklin D. Roosevelt:

Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.

Albert Schweitzer:

Happiness is nothing more than good health and a bad memory.
