The #Fediverse can focus on praising what is good while also criticising what is bad. That's what makes us special, in my opinion. Other "social" networks use algorithms to hide the praise because only negativity brings traffic and ad click money. We are different. We can promote the good without risking being shadow-banned. Use that power. At least once a day. Deal? It takes some time to leave that pavlovian reflex of negativity behind. But at least try and you will enjoy the results :)

The XKCD All Modern Tech Infrastructure stack but modified. AWS and Cloudflare hold up the left side of the stack with a medium sized platform. Unpaid Open Source Developers hold up the right side of the stack on a tiny pillar. DNS forms two tiny pillars on either side of the stack holding up the majority. Below them the Linux Foundation forms an entire platform holding up the entire stack. Below that is a tiny thin pillar as the basis of everything, it represents the undersea internet cables, it is being bitten by a shark. At about the middle of the stack a giant lever is being turned slowly pushing the entire tower over, it's labelled AI. Floating separate from the stack is a tiny blob labeled "Whatever Microsoft is doing".

List of Visual Studio versions, showing 2026, 2022, and 2019. The icon for 2019 has noticeably slimmer lines than the others. The one for 2026 appears thicker (I think) than the one for 2022 because of the gradients used and because it has rounded corners.
