nadiyar.com is a Fediverse instance that uses the ActivityPub protocol. In other words, users at this host can communicate with people that use software like Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica, etc. all around the world.
This server runs the snac software and there is no automatic sign-up process.
After that crappy #firefox announcement about not-selling-my-data-but-still-selling-it-because-selling-is-a-complicated-word bullshit I switched to @librewolf
Feels weird to uninstall firefox after all those years.

No, I don't think Zen Browser is "the Internet's favorite browser".
I think it is very popular among a very small part of the Linux community that you happen to follow.

Socket: Malicious Chrome and Firefox Extensions Steal Crypto Traders’ Session and Wallet Data https://socket.dev/blog/chrome-firefox-crypto-data-theft @SocketSecurity #infosec #Chrome #Firefox #fraud #threatresearch
Malicious Chrome and Firefox Extensions Steal Crypto Traders' Session and Wallet Data
Six Chrome and Firefox extensions linked through shared code, C2 infrastructure, and publishing history have been identified targeting cryptocurrency traders. Four malicious extensions steal authenticated session tokens and wallet data from Axiom Trade and Padre users, while two earlier extensions reveal a pattern of repackaging crypto trading tools. The extensions J7Tracker, VREO, and Orbit Tracker automatically retrieve user information, wallet bundles, Firebase tokens, and application state, then exfiltrate data to threat actor-controlled Vercel deployments. The campaign targets an active trading community with Axiom processing over $15 billion in volume across 650,000 wallets. The malicious code runs inside authenticated sessions, collecting localStorage, IndexedDB data, and API responses containing authentication tokens and wallet keys. Data is Base64-encoded and transmitted via browser navigation to avoid CORS restrictions, enabling account compromise and cryptocurrency theft.

I hate the new-ish editing style of #YouTube #Content #Creators! 🤬
On MY box, the 1st 250ms ALWAYS get cut off!
What's it called; #Boomer lag? BULLSHIT! 🤬
1st of all, i'm a #Millennial! 😅
2nd, i ALWAYS open videos in a new tab, sometimes several - look up #MapReduce, that's my MO. I use #Firefox, and background tabs are not allowed to auto-play anything.
When i switch to a preloaded/ready video tab, auto-play starts, but it RELIABLY cuts off the 1st word - i hate pressing Pos1 to restart! 🤬
#CSS if() and at-function are already available in #Safari Technology Preview. Which makes #Firefox the only major desktop browser not supporting it yet.
Imagine… procedural CSS? 🤤
@rebane2001 ‘s x86css might be portable soon!
Apparently, #Chromium won't let me disable the "Press Esc to exit fullscreen" notification-ish overlay thing. 🤬
I don't like it!
It's occluding the content!
Not even the duration is configurable!
No advanced user settings, no extensions, nothing!
This is why #Firefox is my primary #Browser! (one of several reasons)
Yep, #PiHole is definitely recommended for anyone who either has the right networking skills or is prepared to cook a nice thank-you meal for a geek. 😄 I installed ours donkey's years ago and wouldn't be without it.
Also recommended: #Firefox with #uBlockOrigin (which blocks a load of junk at DNS level, as Pi-Hole does), #ConsentOMatic (which answers No to tracking consent pop-ups so that you don't have to plough through them), and either Blokada or #TrackerControl (which protects your phone at OS level when you're out and about).
It's terrible that we need to shelter from showers of ordure on the modern Web.
Mozilla Adds Built-In Ad Blocking to Firefox on iOS
Mozilla has added native ad blocking to Firefox on iOS, letting users block many ads and trackers without installing an extension.

#TIL that #Firefox v153 (the current version) has a new Local Mode feature. 🎉
https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/devtools-user/local_mode
I used to spawn a local Python HTTP server to serve files locally and deal with CORS-related stuff. Now I don’t need to do that.
boostedI recently discovered that Firefox does not support using passkeys stored in password managers like Bitwarden to log into Firefox account!
A few days ago, I enabled tagged PDF generation in #Firefox Nightly! So, whenever you create a PDF from a web page using the Save to PDF option in the Firefox Print dialog, it will now be (mostly) accessible with assistive technology, assuming the original page was accessible of course. I say "mostly" accessible because this isn't perfect yet, but it's a massive step forward from producing completely inaccessible PDF documents. It also generates a document outline (table of contents) from the headings in the document.
This is very new code, so it's only enabled in Nightly for now and we'll probably let it bake in Nightly for a few weeks at least before we consider shipping it to release.
